Nigel Marsh is a former recalcitrant, now ‘qualified’ provider of advice. He is co-founder of Earth Hour and The Sydney Skinny, and his TED talk on work life balance has been viewed over 5 million times. He has spent the past 30+ years forging a global career in CEO and Chairman roles at D’Arcy, Leo Burnett, Y&R Brands and The Leading Edge. Nigel has written four best-selling books including the recently released ‘Smart, Stupid and Sexy’ and his highly entertaining podcast ‘The Five Of My Life’ has been awarded Australian Podcast Of The Year.
Nigel’s greatest achievement however is staying happily married for 30 years with 4 happy, healthy and connected children. In this discussion I felt a big shift from previous conversations with Nigel. I noticed less of the self-deprecating humour and permission-based statements, and more ownership of his amazing achievements and a comfort in providing advice to others.
